In a shocking turn of events — considering Disney’s previously hardline stance that the film *would not* hit Disney+ — Marvel Studios has announced that Black Widow‘s release date has been pushed back from May 7 to July 9 and that it will hit both theaters and Disney+ Premier Access. Films like Mulan and Raya and the Last Dragon have also been available on Disney+ Premier Access and both cost $30. At this time, no official price has been confirmed.
In addition to the announcement about Black Widow, the Mouse House also revealed that the Emma Stone-starring 101 Dalmatians prequel Cruella would hit theaters and Disney+ on May 28, while Pixar’s Luca will go directly to Disney+ on June 18.
Furthermore, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has reshuffled its release schedule. Black Widow will hit theaters and Disney+ on July 9, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will hit theaters on September 3, Oscar nominee Chloe Zhao’s Eternals will release on November 5, will Spider-Man: No Way Home drops on December 17.
